Choosing the Fabric
For Savana, Federica chose an olive green and brown Animalier weave - a texture that, in person, reveals itself as deeper than in photographs, with a tactile effect that plays with the light at every movement. Not a fabric chosen for its print alone, but for how it behaves once worn: the soft hand, the lightness on the shoulders, how well it holds up over time. Only when a fabric passes this personal selection does it become a Federica Mantelli cape - and that's how Savana came to be.
Craftsmanship
Every Savana cape is made in Italy, from fabric to finished garment: crafted piece by piece by the skilled hands of our artisan seamstress. Even the box it arrives in is made in Italy - a short supply chain, not just a slogan.
Unboxing
The cape arrives wrapped in tissue paper, itself protected by a second, softer layer to safeguard the fabric: a small unboxing ritual, designed with the same care as the garment it holds.

Every Federica Mantelli cape is made entirely in Italy: the fabric — high-quality viscose or polyester — comes from Italian textile suppliers, the garment is hand-sewn by an artisan tailoring workshop in the province of Como, and even the box and packaging it arrives in are produced by Italian suppliers. A short, entirely Italian supply chain, from raw material to the last stitch — verified piece by piece, not a slogan.

Do not tumble dry - better to hang the garment on a hanger.
May be ironed at low temperature, max 110°C - ideally inside out or with a protective cloth over the fabric.

Vuole essere lui il protagonista
Il mantello mi è piaciuto subito, ma il primo abbinamento che avevo in mente era un disastro. Pensavo addirittura di cambiarlo. Poi l’ho provato con un semplice costume nero e successivamente con pantaloni e top neri: tutta un’altra storia. Savana vuole essere protagonista, ho capito che non devo mettergli troppa roba intorno 😄

Non dovevo aspettare tanto
Avevo salvato Savana su Instagram non so quante volte prima di decidermi. Quando finalmente l’ho ordinato mi sono chiesta perché avessi aspettato tanto. Se vi piacciono animalier e fantasie importanti, secondo me è un capo da avere. Io lo porto quasi sempre con tutto il resto molto basic.

Savana è arrivato con me direttamente in Puglia. Usato in spiaggia, lasciato in macchina, rimesso la sera sopra un top e pantaloni. Zero complicazioni. È proprio il tipo di capo che volevo per le vacanze.
