Choosing the Fabric
For Bordeaux, Federica chose a solid wine-red viscose - a deep color that in person reveals almost violet undertones in shadow and warmer tones in direct light. Not a bright red, but a shade worn with confidence, equally suited to an important dinner or a winter evening in the city. The hand is soft, the drape fluid: a fabric that gives structure without ever stiffening movement.
Craftsmanship
Every Bordeaux cape is made in Italy, from fabric to finished garment: crafted piece by piece by the skilled hands of our artisan seamstress. Even the box it arrives in is made in Italy - a short supply chain, not just a slogan.
Unboxing
The cape arrives wrapped in tissue paper, itself protected by a second, softer layer to safeguard the fabric: a small unboxing ritual, designed with the same care as the garment it holds.

Every Federica Mantelli cape is made entirely in Italy: the fabric — high-quality viscose or polyester — comes from Italian textile suppliers, the garment is hand-sewn by an artisan tailoring workshop in the province of Como, and even the box and packaging it arrives in are produced by Italian suppliers. A short, entirely Italian supply chain, from raw material to the last stitch — verified piece by piece, not a slogan.

Il primo che avevo ordinato non funzionava per niente con l’outfit per cui l’avevo preso. Ho chiesto di poterlo cambiare con Bordeaux e problema risolto senza complicazioni. Anzi, alla fine sono quasi contenta di aver sbagliato il primo acquisto perché questo è molto più nelle mie corde. L’ho già utilizzato due volte a cena.

Non sono una grande amante degli acquisti online perché sui tessuti rimango spesso delusa. Qui invece nulla da dire. Bello al tatto, fluido e soprattutto non ha quell’aspetto da classico copricostume. Io Bordeaux lo metto tranquillamente anche la sera.

L’ho preso per una cena a Forte dei Marmi e mi avete fermata in tre per chiedermi dove fosse stato comprato. Direi che può bastare come recensione 😅 Bordeaux stupendo.

Cambio facile, alla fine meglio così
