Choosing the Fabric
For Cotto, Federica chose a solid terracotta viscose - a color that doesn't chase the print of the moment but stays relevant, season after season. In person, the surface has a warm, almost earthy depth that shifts tone with the light without ever losing its solidity. The hand is soft, the drape fluid: a fabric designed to move with the body, not just to be photographed standing still.
Craftsmanship
Every Cotto cape is made in Italy, from fabric to finished garment: crafted piece by piece by the skilled hands of our artisan seamstress. Even the box it arrives in is made in Italy - a short supply chain, not just a slogan.
Unboxing
The cape arrives wrapped in tissue paper, itself protected by a second, softer layer to safeguard the fabric: a small unboxing ritual, designed with the same care as the garment it holds.

Shipping is always free, with insured express courier.
For orders shipped outside the European Union, local VAT and any customs duties are not included in this price: they are collected by the courier upon delivery.

Every Federica Mantelli cape is made entirely in Italy: the fabric — high-quality viscose or polyester — comes from Italian textile suppliers, the garment is hand-sewn by an artisan tailoring workshop in the province of Como, and even the box and packaging it arrives in are produced by Italian suppliers. A short, entirely Italian supply chain, from raw material to the last stitch — verified piece by piece, not a slogan.

Machine wash at 30°C - gentle cycle recommended, with similar colors.
Do not bleach - no bleach or chlorine-based products.
Do not tumble dry - better to hang the garment on a hanger.
May be ironed at low temperature, max 110°C - ideally inside out or with a protective cloth over the fabric.
Always wash with similar colors to avoid color transfer.
Sono la persona che si veste praticamente sempre di nero, quindi Cotto per me è stata una scelta coraggiosissima 😂 E invece è bellissimo. Con nero sotto e sandali cuoio funziona da morire. Mi ha fatto venire voglia di uscire un po’ dalla mia solita zona di comfort.

Molto bello. Personalmente avrei preferito riceverlo un po’ prima perché sono abituata alle consegne velocissime, però sapevo già che servivano circa 10 giorni. Sul mantello invece niente da dire: Cotto è meraviglioso e lo sto usando tantissimo.

Io che vesto solo di nero: promosso
